In October 1974, Rock Squad were confirmed as the resident band at the newly opened Adam's Apple Night Club (the night club was formerly known as Christies). The line-up consisted of, Dave Kennedy on bass guitar and vocals, Eddie Hansen on lead guitar and vocals, Mike Fisher on drums and Dave Carter on piano, Moog Synthesiser and occasional vocals. Dave Kennedy had appeared on two series of Pop-Co and had topped Studio One with his third year in succession in the Grand Final. Dave was with the now disbanded Marcus whose members made up the backing band for Pop-Co. Eddie Hansen was the inspiration behind the success of Ticket. Dave Carter was also with Marcus. Mike Fisher was with Freedom Express in both Christchurch and Auckland. |
