Suzanne Lynch  MNZM

Suzanne Joy Lynch was born on March 20th, 1951 at Tawa Flat, New Zealand.  Starting her career at the age of 14, she was one half of the popular vocal duo The Chicks and appeared as a regular performer on the hugely popular TV show C'mon, and she has remained in the spotlight of New Zealand and International entertainment for many years.  Suzanne went solo in 1969 and was a resident performer on the TV show Happen Inn and she was voted NZ Entertainer of the Year and was awarded the APRA Golden Disc Award in 1972 for Sunshine Through A Prism.  She headed to London in the early 1970s to work as both a session vocalist and live performer with famous artistss such as Neil Sedaka, Lulu, Leo Sayer, Cleo Laine and Cat Stevens.  She has recorded for famous record labels such as Viking, Impact, Festival and Polydor  Her first single was Heart Of Stone // I Want You To Be My Boy.

Suzanne was the lead singer for Cat Stevens' backing-vocal group for 5 years, joining him on 2 world tours and four albums.  Since returning to New Zealand Suzanne's busy schedule has included television commercials and performing at corporate functions.  These days, she is involved as vocal coach and mentor on several New Zealand TV Shows including the NZ Idol television show.
