The Wakefield Brothers
Wally Wakefield and Don Wakefield
The Wakefield Brothers began singing as a group with their sister when they were just children. They sang in numerous concerts, mainly at the old Civic Theatre during The Second World War, and they were paid the princely sum of half a guinea (ten shillings and sixpence). Latterly they performed for Trevor King on his concert circuit, and they were renowned for their delightful harmonies. The Wakefield Brothers were a well-known New Brighton family..
