Lace — resident atThe Redwood Tavern and The Zetland Hotel circa the early 1970s .....
Pat Kearns (Guitar,Vocals), Dave Cox (Drums), Eric Robinson (Keyboards, Vocals) and John Brooker (Bass Guitar, Vocals)
The group was renowned for it's strong harmony vocals (with all members contributing to four-part harmonies). Lace were a very active band with a six-nights-a-week schedule. Eric was a full-time professional musician whilst John Brooker worked in advertising. Dave Cox was a self-employed screen printer and Pat Kearns was a glass cutter. The band produced radio commercials and was known for a popular Tommy's Suzuki Centre advertisement. In a change of personal the drumseat was assumed by Darryl Lanyon (June-August 1974. |
